Project Overview
Munch is an innovative platform that bridges the gap between surplus food providers and environmentally conscious consumers. The platform’s mission is to reduce food waste by making surplus food accessible at lower prices while supporting sustainability. We partnered with Munch to enhance their platform’s usability, making it easier for users to discover, select, and purchase surplus food items in their vicinity.
Process
We began with a comprehensive design audit to analyze Munch’s platform and identify areas where the user experience could be streamlined. Key focus areas included simplifying the browsing and purchasing processes, improving search filters, and enhancing mobile responsiveness. Through UX/UI redesign, we created a visually appealing and intuitive interface that aligned with Munch’s sustainability values. Special attention was given to user journey optimization to ensure that browsing and completing a purchase required minimal steps.
Next, we conducted extensive usability tests with real users, collecting feedback on navigation, search functionality, and payment flows. This helped us refine the platform and address any friction points. Finally, interactive animations were added to provide clear visual feedback during actions like adding items to the cart or completing purchases, creating a more engaging experience.
Result
The redesigned Munch platform saw a 25% increase in daily active users and a 35% boost in successful transactions within three months of launch. Customer feedback highlighted the improved ease of use and the platform’s ability to help users quickly find unsold food items. These enhancements strengthened Munch’s mission of reducing food waste while boosting customer engagement and satisfaction.
